Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – Art. 7 – Right to access personal data and other rights

their purpose and treatment;

the persons or category of persons to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may gain knowledge of said data in the capacity of designated representative in the territory of the State, or as the person responsible or agent.
The person is entitled to obtain:
updates and amendments to the data, or, if desired, integration of the data;
the cancellation, anonymous transformation, or blocking of unlawfully treated data, including data which does not need to be stored given the purpose for which the data was collected or subsequently treated;
certification that the operations in letter a) and b) have been have been made known, including with regard to their content, to the persons to whom the data has been communicated or disclosed, except in the case where compliance in this regard is not possible or constitutes a manifestly disproportionate use of the protected right.
The person concerned is entitled to oppose, in full or in part:
due to legitimate reasons regarding the treatment of stored personal data, even if pertinent to the scope of the data collection;
to the use of personal data for the purposes of sending direct advertising or sales material or for performing market surveys or delivering other types of business communications.
